Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a anchor of the morning news and as a the crime reporter at WCBD TV. Her reporting of the ineffective response of the police in response to DUI instances in Charleston caused an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell received her Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell was then employed by the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. In addition, she serves as co-anchor for Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's covered events such including The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as well as co-hosting a number of Pre-ShowArrivals shows in preparation for The Emmys and the Golden Globes.
